Four Ghanaian nationals have been rescued from the violent clashes in Yemen, a senior state official said on Saturday.
Said Sinare, Ghana's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, said the rescue followed the embassy's intervention, which in partnership with immigration officers in Saudi Arabia, saved the West African citizens, who was caught-up in the Yemeni violence.
The rescued Ghanaians are expected back home early next week, Sinare told Citi FM, a radio station in Accra.
The Ambassador was not sure whether there were any more Ghanaians stranded in Yemen at present.
