4 Iraqi soldiers die in clashes

Seven Iraqi soldiers died during clashes with a group of unidentified militants on Tuesday night. Severe clashes were reported between the Iraqi army and a group of unidentified militants, which led to the death of four soldiers and injured 3 others. Sources from the Iraqi Minister of Defense told Arabstoday that the clashes broke out in al-Abayachi,170 km north of Baghdad. The source, who asked to be kept anonymous, said: “The clashes are still ongoing in the region. A special unit has arrived from Baghdad to conduct an investigation on the situation.”
