Fifty Daesh militants were killed on Saturday at Alas and Ajil oilfields northeast of Salahuddin's Tikrit city, spokesman of the Iraqi Interior Ministry Saad Maan said.
He added that the Iraqi Federal Police advanced northeast of Tikrit, where security forces attacked Daesh militants and killed 50 of them.
A Daesh suicide bomber was among the dead after he tried to blow himself up on troops stationed on the road to Baiji oil refinery.
Another force of the Federal Police managed to detonate two car bombs in northern Salahuddin province, Maan added.
