At least seven people died and scores others suffered injuries when a salvo of missiles crashed into the eastern Ersal town on Friday, the mayor said. Ali Al-Hojairi told KUNA the rockets' explosion wounded at least 15 people in the town, which houses some 70,000 Syrian refugees. He indicated that the missiles, believed to have been unleashed from Syrian side of the border territories, hit residential sectors of the town. Meanwhile, the official media reported Syrian warplanes carried out raids on outskirts of the nearby Josieh town, located close to the borders. Eastern regions close to the Syrian borders have been witnessing security incidents related to the conflict in the neighboring country. On Thursday, a bomb blast rocked the region's main town, Hermel, killing four people. Source: KUNA
