A force of the Free Officers Movement, an anti-Daesh group, killed nine Pakistanis affiliated to the Daesh group in Fallujah city of Anbar province, local security sources said on Tuesday.
The Daesh group pays monthly salaries to some notables and chieftains to secure their allegiance, the sources added.
A large number of Daesh militants have retreated after the Iraqi security forces, backed by some tribesmen, made a significant advance towards Ramadi city and liberated several areas controlled by Daesh fighters, the sources underlined.
In a related context, Spokesman for Anbar scholars council Abd al Rahman al Ghanam said that the council issued fatwas permitting Anbar residents to fight Daesh elements.
