The Egyptian Ministry of Health said that nine persons were injured during the clashes which took place Friday afternoon when the police forces dispersed protesters in several parts of the country. No fatalities were reported so far, Head of the Ministry's central emergency dept. Dr. Khaled Al-Khateeb told the state-run MENA news agency tonight. The clashes took place between the police forces and supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood and ousted president Mohammad Morsi. The nine wounded persons include five in Helwan, three in Mohandseen district in Giza and one in Suez city, Dr. Al-Khateeb said, noting that four of them were discharged from hospitals after receiving first-aid. The National Alliance for Legitimacy Support (NALS) called for today's nationwide demonstrations under the slogan of "retribution soon" in memory of dozens of pro-Morsi detainees who were killed inside a police vehicle near the Tora prison 100 days ago. Meanwhile, Spokesman of the Ministry of Interior Maj.-Gen. Hani Abdullateef said this evening the security services managed to catch a key terrorist suspect in connection with the murder of the police Lt.-Col. Mohammad Marbrook. The culprit is accused of involvement in several other terrorist attacks, Maj.-Gen. Abdullateef told the state TV, noting that the police services seized a large quantity of weapons and ammunition. The spokesman also announced the arrest of a main culprit in the attacks against a Coptic church in Al-Warraq and the nearby Imbaba police station. Source: KUNA
