Erekat: Abbas will meet Meshaal soon

Palestinian chief negotiator, and a member of the PLO Executive Committee, Saeb Erekat, said that President Mahmoud Abbas will meet in the near future the President of the Political Bureau of Hamas, Khaled Meshaal, to speed up the reconciliation process. Erekat said in an interview with "Voice of Palestine" Radio, on Thursday that: "It was agreed on the meeting last night during a phone call with Meshaal," He explained that the president emphasized the importance of making every possible effort to achieve reconciliation and unity. Erekat added that the President will determine the date for the meeting after his return to the homeland during the next two days.
