
Minister of the Interior in the Salvation Government, Mohammed Shaiter said the Tunisian consulate employees who have been abducted by gunmen in the capital are in good health, noting that contacts are underway to set them free.
In statements late Saturday, Shaiter said he contacted the group who promised to release them soon.
A militant group has attacked the premises of the Tunisian consulate in Tripoli on Friday and abducted ten employees.
Tunisian authorities arrested Walid Al-Qaleeb, a member of Fagr Libya group, last month and accused him of planning abduction. A Tunisian court on Thursday rejected his release.
