Interim President Adly Mansour received Sunday head of the African Union election follow-up mission and former Mauritanian prime minister Mohamed Lemine Ould Guig. During the meeting, Mansour expressed Egypt's welcome of the AU mission and keenness to offer all facilitation means to render its task successful, presidential spokesman Ehab Badawy said. The Egyptian state is adamant to hold free and credible elections under judicial supervision in line with the Egyptian constitution, the spokesman quoted Mansour as saying. It is the first time the AU participates in following up the elections in Egypt, he added. The Egyptian presidential election will be held nationwide on Monday and Tuesday. Voters have only two choices to pick from: leftist politician Hamdeen Sabahi and ex-army commander Abdel-Fattah el-Sisi. Source: MENA
