At least five Afghan soldiers and four civilians were killed in two bombings in eastern Afghanistan, officials said Wednesday. \"A roadside bomb hit an army patrol late Tuesday in Manogi district of Kunar province, in which two soldiers were killed and one injured,\" said Noman Atefi, an army spokesman in the region. But a provincial police officer said there were two attacks and five soldiers were killed. \"A roadside bomb exploded near an army vehicle in which there were no casualties,\" the police officer said on the condition of anonymity. \"When the vehicle stopped, a suicide bomber blew himself up and killed five soldiers.\" Meanwhile, two women and two children were killed and a man was injured when a vehicle struck a roadside bomb Wednesday in Ghazni city, the capital of the province with the same name, said provincial spokesman Sabawoon, who uses only one name.
