
Secretary-General of the Arab League Nabil al-Arabi has urged the Egyptian government to respond to the will of the Egyptian people and promote values of freedom, democracy and social justice. The pan-Arab bloc\'s chief praised Egyptians for coming together on June 30, describing nationwide protests as a \"historic moment.\" Speaking on Tuesday, al-Arabi said that the Arab League is following developments in Egypt closely, and is hopeful of a positive solution in the near future. He emphasised the importance of cooperation between the different political groups and urged activists to drop violence in their demands.
