
Algerian army on Thursday killed two militants in Bouira (100-km east of Algiers), the Algerian Ministry of National Defense said in a statement carried by state news agency APS.
"As part of the fight against terrorism, a detachment of the People's National Army of the operation area of (1st Military Region), has eliminated two terrorists this morning 19 March 2015 at 7:45 a.m. in an ambush near the commune of El Adjiba," the statement read.
A Kalashnikov submachine gun, a Simonov semi-automatic rifle, a homemade bomb, a pair of binoculars, ammunition and two mobile phones were recovered during the operation.
