President of Algeria Abdulaziz Butaflika Wednesday called the States of Non-Aligned Movement to unify their efforts to root out terrorism from the world.
In a speech delivered on his behalf by Algerian Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal at the 17 ministerial conference of the Non-Aligned Movement, Bouteflika stressed the importance of the Movement to continue its commitment to eliminating the “transborder scourge”.
He stressed that terrorism “aims at undermining the political, economic and social fabric of our countries and seeks to gradually expand the areas of insecurity and instability, as is the case in the Sahel.”
In this conference, ministers discuss, over two days, several issues such as development and peace, terrorism, illegal immigration and transnational crime and the Islamophobia in a number of European countries, as well as mechanisms to support cooperation.
