An Al-Qassam Brigades fighter was killed Friday evening in a tunnel collapse in Khan Younis, in southern Gaza Strip, the Palestinian Information Center announced.
Al-Qassam, the Hamas armed wing mourned the death of 22-year-old Yousef Essam al-Agha and added that he was killed after a tunnel collapsed on him.
The armed wing vowed that the Palestinian resistance fighters will forever remain a thorn in Israel’s throat, despite the blockade and tough crackdowns.
“The day will come when the Israelis will be ousted from our land,” it added.
The Qassam Brigades paid tribute to its diseased fighter, saying he sacrificed his life and soul for the liberation of occupied Palestine.
It also stated that twenty-two of its fighters have been killed in similar tunnel accidents in 2016.
Also on Friday, a child, identified as Rimas Hamdouna, 5, was shot in her abdomen, after Israeli soldiers fired live rounds at homes and lands, in Beit Lahia, in northern Gaza.
