
Secretary General of the Arab League, Nabil Al-Araby expressed Sunday satisfaction at the positive outcome of the recent meeting of foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) to restore Arab Gulf unity. Al-Araby praised, in a press statement after a telephone conversation with First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the efforts by Kuwait, which holds the presidency of the Arab summit, to strengthen Arab unity and follow up implementation of the recent Arab Summit resolutions. The statement said the Secretary-General also discussed with Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled efforts to support the Palestinian leadership's recent moves in response to Israel's intransigent. On the latest developments in the Syrian crisis, Al-Araby stressed that he was continuing consultations and contacts with the Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon and regional and international parties concerned to address the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Syria to stop the violence and bloodshed and to find a political solution to this crisis.
