Armed clashes break out in Beirut

Clashes broke out on Sunday between two armed groups in one of the popular neighborhoods near the sports city in Beirut. Machine guns and rockets were used in the fight which inflicted several casualties, security sources said. The clashes were between a faction supporting The March 8 Alliance led by Shaker El Bergawi and a Salafist armed organization. Rockets and gun shots were heard in different outskirts of the city, the sources added. Source: MENA
