
An armed group has attacked the Tunisian national guard center at the border of Ben Gardane commune in Medenine governorate in southern Tunisia.
In a statement for Tunisia Africa Press Agency (TAP), a security source said that the armed group headed on 4-wheel vehicles for the border centre, earlier Thursday and attacked the security soldiers who managed to push the militants back. He added that that the attack did not cause any casualties among the security soldiers.
The source pointed out that the gunmen then fled towards the Libyan territories, and more Tunisian security and military reinforcements moved to the border center.
