Army-TTP clash in south Waziristan, 9 dead

Nine soldiers were killed and three others were wounded in a militant attack on Wednesday in Pakistan\'s bordering Waziristan tribal belt. In a retaliatory operation, more than ten militants were also killed and several injured. The clashes took place in South Waziristan tribal agency\'s Ziarat area. According to security sources, militants attacked a security forces checkpost with heavy arms and artillery. The forces launched a retaliatory operation and killed more than ten militants, said the sources, adding that several militants were also wounded in the operation. Sources said that forces were conducting a search operation in the area.
