
The delegates to the 36th Session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva yesterday praised the statement made by Assistant Foreign Minister, Abdulla bin Faisal bin Jabur Al Doseri, on Bahrain’s position on the recommendations contained in the report of the working group on the third comprehensive international review.
The representatives of India, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Lithuania, Maldives, Morocco, Oman, Pakistan, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Sierra Leone and Sudan expressed their appreciation for the clear efforts made by the Kingdom of Bahrain to promote and protect human rights.
The delegates recommended to the Human Rights Council to adopt the report in the outputs of the Universal Periodic Review of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The representatives of the Republic of India and the Republic of the Philippines also commended the contents of the speech of the Head of Delegation of the Kingdom of Bahrain and specifically the measures taken by the Kingdom which contributed to the strengthening of the labour market and in particular the flexible work permit and efforts to promote and protect the rights of workers in general.
