Secretary General of the Palestinian National Initiative, Mustafa Barghouthi has welcomed the International Socialist Organisaiton (ISO) decree which includes recognition by the international community of the State of Palestine on the 1967 borders and its capital east Jerusalem. The decree reiterates the importance of Palestine joining to the UN, implementing the right to self-determination, freedom, justice and dignity. In an interview to Arabstoday Barghouthi said: \"This decree reflects the new world\'s policy towards Palestine which has been drawn from the popular resistance policies that Palestinians created to fight the occupation.\" Barghouthi stated the \"Initiate campaign\" (Bader) launched by the National Initiative for the Boycott of Settlements Products, has been greatly welcomed by Palestinian territories. ISO confirmed the international socialist conference held on Saturday in Cape Town South Africa had reached a consensus from all participants to work hard in order to guarantee reaching recognition UN member country support to accept Palestine as a member in the UN. ISO urged all countries to double their efforts in order to reach a dialogue aimed at resuming negotiations and to put an end to Israeli settlements policies which are considered a flagrant violation of international law. The meeting highlighted land grabbing, destroying homes, the occupation of East Jerusalem, the Gaza siege and the exploitation of Palestinian people, land and resources as reasons for their condemning of Israeli defense and foreign policy and the group\'s call for releasing Palestinian prisoners from Israeli prisons.
