Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir on Monday called on all political forces, including the armed opposition, to engage in a national dialogue to bring the country out of the current crises. "This dialogue should address four key issues of peace, economy, foreign affairs and national identity with a view to achieving national reconciliation, " he said in an address to the nation this evening in the presence of leaders of political parties and civil society organizations. Al-Bashir presented a draft document on comprehensive reform called "the leap" and including the four issues, and pledged to implement whatever resolutions the discussions might lead to. He affirmed that to make peace and put an end to the armed conflict are the key to the rebuilding of the country on the basis of freedom, democracy and constitutional rights. He added that the invitation to the suggested dialogue excludes nobody, even the leaders of the armed groups who accept to lay down their arms and adopt dialogue as a means for meeting their demands.
