Calls to protect Lebanese sovereignty

World Maronite Federation President Sheikh Sami Khoury, warned the March 14 movement of Lebanese sovereignty, rights, independence and free will. He refused to allow Lebanon to return to how it used to be. He claimed Syrians are calling for their dignity and freedom. The WMF President said, "relations between Lebanon and Syria have been organised according to normal diplomatic relations. We must note the importance of respecting all norms, traditions and diplomatic laws between both countries." He asked the Lebanese Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour, "to act according to the Lebanese higher interest and to maintain Lebanese independence and sovereignty." "The stage Lebanon is passing through is one of the most dangerous situations in our nation. We need to unify all our efforts, in order to prevent Lebanon from becoming a battlefield for other parties."
