A car bomb set off as mourners arrived for a funeral in Aziziya, Iraq, Wednesday night killed at least 11 people and injured 25, authorities said. The blast occurred about 7 p.m. local time in the predominately Shiite town 37 miles south of Baghdad in Wasit province, CNN reported. The bombing was the latest in a string of attacks that have killed dozens in Iraq in the past several days, the U.S. news network said. While violence is down from its peak in 2006-2007, last month up to 325 people died in attacks, CNN noted.
