Clashes in Tripoli, Lebanon, between military forces and criminals increased the death toll on Monday to five dead and 25 injured. Sources said of the injured, three are in critical conditions. Sources said soldiers of the internal security forces had checkpoints in the different squares and streets of Tripoli. Sniper shots are still being heard at intervals between Jebel Mohsen and the neighbouring areas. Military forces are storming hot spots to arrest wanted criminals. Al-Tabbana activists announced in a statement that they are committed to stopping the shooting. Syrian missiles on Monday hit Lebanese villages in the border between both countries. Sources said Syrian forces have been through violent battles in villages facing the Lebanese borders with Syria, where the Lebanese villages were shelled without any reason.
