Clinton takes part in Libya contact group meeting

US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton arrives on Thursday to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for a meeting of the Libya Contact Group. During the meeting, Clinton is scheduled to discuss means of addressing the situation in Libya, including the ongoing implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolutions 1970 and 1973, the US State department announced. The Contact Group called at its first meeting in April in Qatar on Libya s Muammar Gaddafi to step down. At the second meeting in Rome in May the Group stressed the need for tangible support for the Libyan Transitional National Council.
