Daesh detonates castle Pashtabia in Mosul

The Daesh group detonated Tuesday the ancient site of Castle Pashtabia, in the Nineveh's city of Mosul, southwestern Iraq.
The castle was an integral part of the identity of Mosul, the Iraqi Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities said in a statement.
The castle dates back to era of Altapikya state during the sixth century AH/ second century AD, the statement said, adding Daesh targeted the site despite it didn't include any shrines or statues, which made clear their tendency to destroy all the cultural heritages.
