Two Eritrean nationals were arrested in Sinai as they were trying to illegally immigrate to Israel, Egyptian security sources told Arabstoday. The sources said that one of the two Eritreans, Amani al-Hamad 22, was arrested near the border mark number seven, while the other Samuel Tafa 26, was arrested near the border mark number 15. Egypt's border with Israel was demarcated with 91 marks extending from Rafah in the north to Taba in the south. Thousands of African migrants are trying to immigrate to Israel every year. Since January 2012, more than 600 African nationals were arrested by Egyptian border guards while they were sneaking across the borders near the Rafah crossing.
