Egyptian ambassador in Mauritania Yusuf Ahmed Cherkaoui said that Mauritanian President Ould Abdel Aziz sent his greetings to his Egyptian counterpart Mohammed Morsi and that he wanted to meet with him again. Mauritanian President Ould Abdel Aziz told the Egyptian Ambassador Ahmed Cherkaoui that he would arrange a visit to Cairo to hold talks with Morsi in order to strengthen cooperation between the two countries. Abdel Aziz awarded the Egyptian ambassador the National Order of Merit at the end of his mission in Nouakchott. In a statement, Ahmed Cherkaoui praised the cooperative relations between Egypt and Mauritania. He added that he had a good experience in Mauritania during his mission. He said he is happy with the achievements made by the government which resulted in granting lands to the poor and providing electricity and water permanently.
