Egyptian forces kill 3 armed 'takfiri' militants

Egyptian security forces have killed three armed "takfiri" militants during military operations in northern Sinai, an army spokesman said Tuesday.
Brigadier Mohammad Sameer said in a statement to the press the security forces also arrested six wanted criminals during the operations.
He said the government forces destroyed an SUV and 16 motorbikes which were used by the outlawed militants to attack army troops.
The Egyptian government has been intensifying its operations in northern Sinai to crack down on outlawed militants.
