Egyptian soldier injured in cross-border shooting

A soldier in the North Sinai border of Egypt was shot in crossfire between border security and smugglers, according to security officials. The soldier, Islam Abbas Ahmed, was shot below his left knee while stationed in the borders between Egypt and Israel. It\'s believed the soldier opened fire to stop a group of men trying to smuggle African immigrants into Israel. They fled to Egypt and security forces are combing the area in search for them.
