Fatah invites Palestinians to support Abu Mazen

The Palestinian Fatah movement has invited all Palestinians to be united behind the only leader of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) Mahmoud Abbas Abu Mazen. He seeks to prove that he is the only representative to all Palestinians who are struggling for an independent state and he is prepared for more struggle in order to keep his state independent. The movement said in its statement through spokesman Osama Qawasmi: \"The movement will not make any compromises and it will not be subject to any pressures nor threats - whatever the sacrifices will be.\" He added: \"The movement is ready to defend Abu Mazen, who is leading Palestinians in a brave and independent decision. The movement is refusing all kinds of political or financial extortions practiced by Israeli occupation and US administration.\" He followed: \"We will continue our steps towards the UN in a historical decision supporting our leader and our national project. We know its consequences in order to continue our long way of struggling, achieving all our legal and legitimate rights, stopping the division of our lands and separating Gaza from West Bank. Palestinians, who were able to stop any alternative leadership projects, are going to stop any new conspiracy project against a united state of Palestine.\"
