the Palestinian Fatah Liberation Movement on Tuesday called on the European Union and world countries to follow in the footsteps of Sweden and accelerate their recognition of the Palestinian state.
Fatah call coincided with the visit of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to Sweden as part of the protocol ceremonies between the two sides.
Fatah Spokesman in Europe Gamal Nezal said the Swedish recognition of Palestine will have positive impact on politics and Palestinian action and would refute claims any other hesitant parties to actually recognize the Palestinian state.
He made it clear that the Swedish model has been a source of hope for shortening the time of Israeli occupation.
