Five killed, 28 injured in Kirkuk blasts

At least five people were killed and 28 others including police personnel, injured in a wave of explosive bombs and car bombs attacks that rocked the northern city of Kirkuk on Friday . A security source said that the attacks targeted worshippers gathering for Friday midday-prayers in three Shiite worshiping places in the city. The wounded were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment and the security agencies opened an investigation into the incidents.
