The Free Syrian Army (FSA) announced Saturday that it is open for a temporary ceasefire in Homs and Rif Dimashq during Eidul-Adha, to allow access to humanitarian aid. The FSA rejected the idea of negotiating a long term ceasefire. A prolonged 9-month ceasefire was demanded in order to allow the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) to carry out its operations overseeing the destruction of Syria\'s chemical weapons stockpile. The Arab League and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) have called on both Syrian warring sides to declare a ceasefire during the Islamic Eidul-Adha holiday. Source: MENA
