
Unidentified gunmen on Sunday assassinated a judge and three of his guards in the city of Kirkuk in northern Iraq.
Ibrahim Khamis Obeidi, a judge from the Arab minority in the city of Kirkuk, some 250 km north of the Iraqi capital of Baghdad, was shot dead with his three bodyguards by gunmen.
Meanwhile, local sources in the city of Mosul said gunmen belonging to the terrorist group Daesh executed two youths on charges of taking photos of public places with their mobile phones.
The group detained 127 persons during the past two days on charges of using mobile phones.
