Yemeni President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi has ordered not to be called "His Highness". The title is usually used in the media or when people address the President. Yemeni newspapers have started to apply the rule. Observers believe that Hadi wants to abdicate all his privileges. His detractors believe that Hadi will come up with a new respect title soon, while others have welcomed the initiative. Hi predecessors were called all sort of names, such as the "Arab Knight" or the "Faithful Son of Yemen". Some believe the President wants a fresh start and that he wants to show that he is a modern president. Some Yemenis have demanded the national papers to remove Hadi's picture from the newspapers' top.
