Leader of Hamas’ National Security Authority, General abu-Obeida el-Garah has reiterated the need for opening the Rafah Crossing. El-Garah said that the crossing does not pose any security threat to Egypt, and called for the continued protection of Egypt’s security, stressing the need for taking punitive action against those people who manipulate the crossing. The Hamas’ security official said in a statement published on his Facebook page that he supports protecting Egypt’s security and will continue to do so. He demanded that Egyptians to take into account that they have brothers on the other side of the crossing, adding that they all suffer from the closure of the Rafah Crossing.
