Salah al-Bardawil, the Leader in Hamas movement, officially denied any current intentions of Khaled Mashaal, Head of the Political Office of Hamas, to visit the Gaza Strip. In a press conference held on Thursday, al-Bardwail said the news spread about the visit are \"rumours\" based on the speech of the PM Ismail Haniyeh about a \"surprise\" next week. Lately, rumours have been spread about the Mashaal\'s intentions to accompany a Qatari prince in a visit to Gaza. The rumours regarding Mashaal and Hamad\'s visit were linked to the \"good news\" the Palestinian PM Haniyeh promised the Palestinian people. A delegation of Hamas leaders headed to Cairo Thursday evening to discuss several critical issues. A senior official said on Thursday that a delegation from Hamas, including more than five of the most prominent leading figures, will head to Egypt, holding a series of important meetings with Egyptian officials. Among the issues to be discusses, the reconciliation, the siege, fuel, electricity, Rafah crossing and the trade zone. The source expected developments in the Palestinian reconciliation within the next days, which was suspended for months. He stressed that Egypt is only waiting for the internal stability in Egypt and the security stability in Sinai in order to invite the Palestinian factions, topped by Hamas and Fatah movements to start the dialogue discussing the reconciliation issue and the application of the provisions of the last agreement in Cairo.
