The Algerian army organised a special anti-terrorism operation in order to capture 20 al-Qaeda members, security forces told Arabstoday. The army forces are chasing the group in the heights of Taourirt Ighil mountains, 50km east Algiers, where the group is believed to be very active. The sources added that the army forces have surrounded the Akefadu moutains. In the meantimes another team comb the area in order to eliminate all the armed groups. This operation comes days after the Algerian forces besieged the Arqam battalion elements, eleminating its nine groups in Jarrah in Beni Imran mountains, 60km south east the capital.
