Iraq reopened its borders with Syria and Jordan after they had been closed for less than a day due to "administrative" reasons. The Iraqi government decided to reopen its Treibil border crossing with Jordan and Al-Waleed crossing with Syria, a source from Anbar Operations Command told KUNA on Wednesday. The decision of closing the only ports that link Iraq to the two countries was made due to regulatory and administrative reasons, sources from the Ministry of Interior said earlier. The Iraqi forces are carrying out an extensive operation on the international road that leads to both ports, as well as Anbar desert, near the Syrian border. Source: KUNA
