Leader of the Iraqi List political party - Eyad Allawi said the party will not sign the National Honour Code, which is required by all political movements. Iraqi Vice President Khodair Al-Khozaei backed calls for the Code, which will seek negotiations between rival political parties in the mainly Shiite Muslim government. Maisoun al Damlouji, a spokesperson for the List told Arab Today on Tuesday that the solution to the country’s problems lies in an end to foreign interference and respecting the rights of civilians. She added that Iraqis are fed up with ‘useless talk and bureaucracy’. Damlouji said the Iraqi government is far from being wise and listening to its people - reflected in the growing sectarian hatred between Sunni and Shiite Muslims in the country.
