Islamic Jihad condemns Israeli strike

The Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine has denounced the Israeli airstrike which targeted a member of its armed wing Al-Quds Brigades. Israeli air forces led a strike on the Gaza Strip early Wednesday, killing one and injuring seven. Islamic Jihad official Sheikh Nafeth Azzam said in a radio statement that “the Israeli escalation is not new and not surprising, but it shows the Israeli aggression towards Palestinians.” Azzam stated that the movement is studying how to respond to these crimes, and discussing it with the other groups, especially, after the factions had committed ceasefire agreement, but \"Israel\" is still breached at all times. For his part, Islamic Jihad official, Khader Habib confirmed that the Al-Quds Brigades was studying now how to respond to Israel \"The escalation in violence is dangerous and has no justification. The resistance will have a response at the right time for this crime,\" he said. Habib stressed that there is a national consensus among Palestinian factions to respond to Israel’s violations.
