Israel extends military siege on West Bank

The Israeli occupation authorities have extended its military siege on the West Bank imposed since yesterday for another 24 hours. The Israeli authorities decided to extend the siege following the deadly clashes that erupted on the 63rd anniversary of al-Nakba Day. Israel deployed nearly 10,000 policemen and soldiers in East Jerusalem, and in Arab towns in the 1948 Territories. At least 12 people were killed and hundreds were injured Sunday as Palestinians demonstrated on Israel\'s borders with Lebanon, Syria and Gaza marking al-Nakba Day .
