Jimmy Carter arrives in Cairo from Amman

Former US President Jimmy Carter arrived to Cairo for a scheduled two day visit. Carter is set to hold meetings to discuss the latest developments in the region and ways to achieve peace. The details of his visit will be revealed at a press conference later on Monday. US ambassador in Cairo Anne Patterson and members of US embassy in Cairo welcomed the former US president. Carter is later set to meet with Grand Imam of al-Azhar Ahmed el-Tayeb.
