Jordanian seeks to name daughter \'Israel\'

A Jordanian citizen confused the Authority of Passports and Civil Affairs on Thursday when he submitted a request to the administration to name his new daughter Israel. Spokesperson for the Jordanian administration Malek al-Khasawna told Arab Today that the request will be referred to the general manager after which a decision will be issued. The spokesperson added that the administration has \"no issues\" with names that go against the country\'s \"social and religious values.\"
