The mastermind behind the firing of rockets into a valley in Lebanon\'s Jamhour, near Baabda Palace earlier this summer, is a Syrian \'weapons dealer\' supplying arms to both the regime and opposition forces, Arab Today has learnt. Sources have told Arab Today that the ringleader is being supported by five other Syrian and three Lebanese individuals. The majority of them live in the town of Faytroun, in the Kesrouan district. The men were arrested on Tuesday evening after intelligence agencies tracked phone calls close to the area where the rockets had landed. A rocket launched in June from an area overlooking Beirut hit a high-tension electricity cable in Aley that supplied 150 kilowatts from the Jamhour power station. The army managed to disable a second rocket from being fired. Two rocket launch pads were found in the Kesrouan town of Ballouneh, hours after the rocket attack near the presidential palace in Baabda. Initial investigation have revealed that the Lebanese suspects bought the rockets from the Palestinian refugee camp of Burj al-Barajneh in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
