Libya denies kidnap of 70 Egyptians

A Libyan diplomat on Friday denied reports alleging that 70 Egyptians have been kidnapped in Libya. "These reports are false and bare of truth," Libya's permanent envoy to the Arab League Ambassador Ashour Bu Rashid said. "What happened was an administrative arrest of about 46 Egyptians by the Libyan interior ministry to verify their residency in the country," the diplomat said. "Those who have entered the country illegally will be deported and no one of them will be harmed," he added. Source: MENA
