Libyan chief of staff Abdel Razeq al Nazouri said the army is contacting troops deployed in the western area and oil-rich al Hilal city.
Nazouri, in press statements on Wednesday, said the army has operations rooms that are following up developments on a daily basis.
He made it clear that the Libyan air force is acting freely in those areas.
The army had contacted troops deployed in oil-rich Hilal city, Nazouri said, adding the troops had a meeting with commander of the air force.
He pointed to a breakthrough in the weapons problem, noting that the Libyan army will be armed and many youth recruited.
