Fajr Libya Dawn militia took control Wednesday of Umm Shoaisha camp and nearby hill ranges, according to the Western Region military commander.
Also, Libya army jet fighters launched airstikes against two ammunition stores in western Libyan town of Zintan, a military source said.
Since the fall of the Gaddafi regime, Libya's beleaguered authorities have been struggling to rein in powerful armed militias who are battling for power and the country's oil wealth.
