A Libyan warplane launched airstrikes on the Libyan city of Darnah, local media reported.
No casualties were reported, Al-Nabaa news channel reported.
No further details have been available.
Militants loyal to the Islamic State group have exploited a security vacuum in Libya, where two governments and parliaments allied to host of armed groups are fighting each other on several fronts four years after the ousting of Muammar Gaddafi.
